1-. Which major? (33 credits in Spanish)

     Span (Standard 124 cred.) or Span/Teacher Certification K-12 (127 cred)

     Second Dual major in Spanish (33 credits): possible combinations with

     Elem.Edu K-5, 5-8/ Bilingual / Early Childhood / Psychology / Sociology, etc.

2- Minor in Spanish: 18 credits

    Track for native (all courses in 3000/4000 level);

    Track for non-native (SPAN-2101 & SPAN-2102; and 12 electives)

3-. Forms and declaration of major?

     for "hold", "students petitions", "restrictions", etc. ask your advisor 1 or 2

4-. Mandatory courses in Span/Teacher Certif. K-12:

     SPAN-3125: Contrastive Applied Linguistics

     SPAN-4100: Morphology & Syntax

     FL-3010: Comparative Phonology

     Pys-2110: Psychology of Adolescence

5-. From 30 credits in academic content: + SPAN-Capstone/ Seminar (3 credits)

     mandatory Language courses:

     SPAN-3100: Adv. Span Composition

     SPAN-3105: Adv. Span Conversation (or subst. if native speaker; 3000-4000)

     one Survey in Civilization

     one Survey in Literature

     rest of the course are elective courses:

     (balance in Lang./ Civ./ Lit./ Latin and Peninsular)

6-. Which electives? your preference but think about load (5 or 6 courses),

     morning/afternoon/night, professor, and keep good GPA

     select from 3000-4000 in Culture, Literature, Monographs, Linguistics

7-. GPA for Spanish is 2.5; GPA for Span/Teacher Certif K-12 is 2.75
