Events Leading to the Civil War
Use the graphic organizer under attachments to record information on the short term causes of the Civil War. The graphic organizer is in chronological order. Your assignment is to create an illustrated timeline. You need to include all the events in the correct order and include at least 5 documented images. You need to include a description of the event and then put an arrow up or down for the North or the South to indicate the tension level for each side. With the arrow give a brief explanation as to why tension decreased or increased. Submit your timeline via schoology.

Reconstruction Plans:
You and your partner must take your assigned Reconstruction plan and answer the following questions:
1. What is your ultimate goal with this plan for Reconstructing the South?
2. What steps are you using to achieve your goal?
3. What potential road blocks do you see in achieving your plan?
4. What problems do you see with your opponents plans?
Interviews: You and a partner will be assigned a particular role from a key player in the Reconstruction Era. Your job is to create a set of 10 questions that you would ask the person if you were interviewing them for a newspaper. Then you would need to take on that role and answer the questions. The questions do not need to be superficial but get to the heart of the person's feelings about Reconstruction. You and your partner will act out the interview in the front of class.
