Culture Collage Activity:
Taking the country you were assigned and create a collage of culture with information about the following components. You will use an online platform such as Glogster or iPad apps like Explain Everything to show off your country's culture. On Monday, March 4th, we will do a gallery walk through the various presentations. You need to include documented images and MULTI-MEDIA in your collage.
a. Identify major language groups and impact
b. Identify major religious groups and impact
c. Examples of popular culture
d. Examples of folk culture/folklore.
e. Examples of architecture
f. Influence of outside cultural influence
g. Examples of government regulation of culture
h. Example to hold onto culture in modern times

Religion Jigsaw Activity:
You will be divided into groups of 6 and then you will branch out to research a specific assignment on religion and then report back to your home group. The assignments are:
- Creation of a religious comparison Chart--Use the chart below and research the basic beliefs of religions and see how they have things in common.
- Religious data/mapping--Use online materials to find out the percentages of religions around the world based on regions. Create a bar graph showing the data. Excel would be a good resource.
- Locate and research causes for particular religious conflicts. Use the chart below.
- Find examples of how religion impacts day to day life for people of the major religions. Create a PowerPoint with images that show two examples for each religion.
- Find examples of how religion has made an impact on the cultural landscape (architecture, maps, etc.) Create a PowerPoint showing two examples for each major world religion.
- Find two examples for each major world religion of attempts to battle to stay relevant in the world today as their is a bigger push to atheism and secularism.
