The JSD curriculum for Physical Education (Grade 7) is designed to contribute to the development of social and physical competence by offering a variety of activities to meet and expand student interest.
Participation in Physical Education allows students to:
Build a positive self concept
Strengthen social cooperation
Improve problem solving capabilities
Develop motor skills
Understand components of personal fitness
*PE LOCKER: Each 7th grade student is issued a locker that is to be used throughout the semester before and after Physical Education class. The locker is also available to be used for equipment during fall, winter, and spring sports. Much like their hallway locker, students keep the same Physical Education locker until they graduate. Students are strongly urged to use their locker to keep valuables safe and Chromebooks in tact while participating in PE class. Therefore, DO NOT share your locker or locker combination with any other student. If you have any issues with your locker, or you forget your combination, please do not hesitate to see me or Mrs. Barrett.
