Step Three:

Create your original Combined Creature drawing, take a photo of it, and then send it to me on or before Friday, April 17th.

3/30-4/3 ASSIGNMENT: "TWO POINT PERSPECTIVE" (abbv: 2ptPr)

Due: Friday, 4/17

Objective: Students will draw two examples of Two-Point perspective scenes, completed on one side of a sheet of paper. This assignment will help students understand how to create the illusion of space using linear perspective.

STEP ONE:

Simply watch all four videos below, to become familiar with two-point perspective.

1. This is the best one. But watch out, you can only see three videos before you have to pay for using this site.

https://thevirtualinstructor.com/twopointperspective.html

2. This one begins easy, and ends with a city scene with some tall buildings and an intersection of streets. Ignore the confusing

first part and keep watching. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29-bPAhvzFI

3. This video shows how to specifically draw a very creative building in Two-Point Perspective.

4. This is CRAZY! This ends with an advanced inner city scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xQYLMXBt5A

STEP TWO:

Look at TWO POINT PERSPECTIVE shown below. It is an example of how you will format your assignment.

2 Pt Pers Assignments.doc

STEP THREE:

Complete your own version of TWO POINT PERSPECTIVE on one sheet of paper and send it to me on or before Friday, April 17th. Basically just copy the example but add your own artistic additions like shading and perhaps some other objects like trees, cars, people, etc. Be sure the same format as the example, with a drawing on the top half, and the other on the bottom half - all on the same side of the paper.

    • Top half of the paper, draw several buildings in two-point perspective.

    • Bottom half, draw a farm landscape with a barn, road, trees, & fence.
