1) Attendance at practice is required each day there is not a varsity meet scheduled. If the athlete is to miss practice both the head coach and the event(s) coaches need to be notified. Remember being in meets and lettering requires outstanding attendance!
2) Athletes need to be at school on time everyday. On meet days and the day after a meet the athlete needs to be at school on time or he will not be able to compete in the meet. Very important! This is a school policy.
3) Athletes are expected to ride the bus to and from every meet. This is a very important time for the athlete to prepare for the meet and bond with their teammates. If the athlete is not able to ride the bus home after completion of the track meet, a school policy requires the parent to email Seton Foster, the head coach, the day before the scheduled meet.
4) Communication is very important for a successful program. Because the boys track team will have 120-150 athletes grade 9-12, it is important to share concerns and questions. Always look for information on this web site. Athletes should feel comfortable talking to coaches and captains. Parents can contact the head coach by his school email if needed. If you have a question, please ask!!
5) On the day of a varsity boys track meet there will not be practice for athletes that are not in the meet. Varsity athletes will always have practice on days when there is a JV or 9-10 meet.
