Math Learning Overview for the year:
Math Video Tutorials: Watch videos I've created to help you review (or learn in advance) concepts and skills we have learned in class. Be sure to practice at home--it's FUN!
OOPS! AN ADD ON TO FINISH "TIME TO THE MINUTE"
PRACTICING ELAPSED TIME (Mountains, Hills, and Rocks)
Elapsed Time (T-Chart Method) For some reason, the first screen is garbled a bit (the printed words)--I couldn't change this, it was not like this on my original video. So, just ignore it, and once the video turns to the next page, it is fine. Sorry about that!
MAKING CHANGE FOR A DOLLAR (AND MORE!)
Rounding--Video One (using the rhyme method)
Rounding--Video 2 (The Prince/Princess Method)
WEBSITES TO VISIT!
1. IXL.com: Go to IXL.com and practice 20 problems a day for free before school starts. This is an AWESOME site (one of my favorites for math!) that allows you to practice ALL of the skills we are learning this year in 3rd grade. You may also try other grade levels within the same site if you need a challenge or if this level is a little too tough. Look around, and have fun!
**Once school begins, students will log into Clever.com, and log in with their Google sign in information.**
2. Multiplication.com: Practice those math facts in a lot of fun ways!
3. ABCYA: Children practice all kinds of math and language arts games, even typing skills, too!
