Accel Math

GENERAL INFORMATION:

This class focuses on depth and understanding of various pre-algebra concepts.  By the end of the year, students will have a solid foundation of these concepts and be ready for Algebra 1.

Topics of Study:

Unit 1 -- Equations

Unit 2 -- Transformations

Unit 3 -- Angles, Lines, & Triangles

Unit 4 --  Linear Equations

Unit 5 -- Functions

Unit 6 -- Data Analysis

Unit 7 -- Exponents & Scientific Notation

Unit 8 -- Number System & Pythagorean Theorem

Unit 9 -- Volume of Solids

CLASS MATERIALS:

Please come to class each day, prepared with the following materials:

    -spiral notebook and folder

    -pencils

    -calculator TI 30XIIS is appropriate for this class

    -rulers/graph paper will also be used on occassion
