IP College campus has a total of 803 trees belonging to 91 species which have been numbered from 1- 753 (main campus) and 1-50 (in IP Hostel, located adjacent to the main campus). These also include some good number of fruiting trees as well and therefore are a boon for the bird diversity in the campus. Large number of herbs and shrubs are also found in the college including Shankpushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis) which is an Ayurvedic healing herb and is also used in preparing a brain tonic for enhaning memory power.
Ashoka (Polyathia longifolia), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Amaltas (Cassia fistula), and Putranjiva (Putranjiva roxburghii) are some of the most numerous trees on the campus. Fruit and fruiting structure bearing trees including Amla (Phyllanthis emblica), Jamun (Syzigium cumini) and Shahtoot (Morus alba), Ber (Ziziphus mauritiana), Katthal (Artocarpus heterophyllus), Mango (Mangifera indica), Papita (Carica papaya), and Sitaphal (Annona reticulate). The campus also has a fruiting Avocado (Persea americana) tree rarely found in Delhi.
