Let's learn Chinese with FUN!

Happy Chinese class is our Early Development Program, specifically designed for children from non- Mandarin speaking families and who have little or no Chinese immersion environment. There is no language prerequisite for enrolling in this class.

The textbook “My First Chinese Words” series is used. It is a series of Chinese textbook for children specifically to learn Chinese as a foreign or second language and it is recommended by the office of Chinese Language Council International (Han Ban). “My First Chinese Words” series contains 18 books with easy-to-read scripts and vivid illustrations that make learning Chinese fun and natural. Each week we’ll cover approximately one lesson in the book. We will also have fun in class through hands-on activities, songs, stories and games.

Our Happy Chinese class teaches over 120 words covering 15 topics from a child's world, like family, friends, food, animals, home, school and more. Upon completion, students will recognize basic Chinese characters and sentence patterns. This gives children the opportunity to quickly apply what they learn in real-life situations as well as start communicating in Chinese right away!
