Welcome to 5th Grade, Mathematicians and Scientists! I am excited to begin this journey with you on another amazing school year! There are few people who can say they genuinely enjoy their job, but I am one of the lucky few. I am beyond thrilled to be your child's 5th grade teacher and I truly thank you for entrusting the care of your child to me. I cannot wait to see what wonderful moments will be created this year!
This will be my 12th year teaching! I graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Masters of Special Education in 2015 and a Bachelors of Science in STEAM Education in 2013. I recently completed my Level I certification in the Wilson Reading System, a multi-sensory based approach to phonics instruction and I also obtained my supervisor's certificate through Seton Hall University.
I grew up in Northern New Jersey but I could not be more excited to be working in a community close to where my heart lies: at the shore.
I currently live in Freehold with my husband Nick, our 2 and a half year old son James, and our two rescue pups, Bailey and Penny! I am very family oriented and love spending time visiting my parents or playing with my niece and nephews on the weekends. Here's some favorites and fun facts about me:
