Accessible Resources:
Many course materials are available in Word, pdf, or audio format via the Ross MacDonald Library. Feel free to browse the catalogue, and if see any materials you think might be useful, contact Wendy Malloch at mallochw@hdsb.ca, and she will place the order for you.
Students can also access materials themselves using their public library card, either through the Burlington Public Library, or the Canadian national Institute for the Blind Library (links at left).
Many materials are already available in the school, as outlined in the document at left.
Our department can scan paper materials and occasionally we have volunteers available who will create audio versions of texts as well.
In addition, many publishers will make electronic versions of their materials available for student use if you contact them directly.
If you know of anyone who is interested in volunteering by creating accessible materials, please have them contact Dave Carroll at 905-637-3825 x 253
