Announcements:

The Writing Center will be closed for the summer beginning Thursday, May 3

What is the Writing Center?

The Writing Center is a collaborative environment which offers writing consultations free of charge to anyone affiliated with the University of Hawai`i - undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and visiting scholars.

Our writing consultants are trained to help at all stages of the writing process; whether you are just getting started, revising a draft, or at some point in between, we can help with your essays, research papers, resumes, letters, creative work, and more.

For further information regarding our mission, hours, consultation sessions, and staff please visit our About Pages

Want to Schedule an Appointment?

Please visit our Make/Cancel Appointments page and create an account to make appointments in advance.

Walk-in appointments are also welcome at The Writing Center, but we suggest that you schedule an appointment to ensure that a writing consultant will be available to work with you.
