May 4th will be the last day to make appointments for the Spring 2016 Semester.  The Writing Center will be closed during finals week and during the summer.

Spring 2016 Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday

9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Kuykendall elevator will be out of service for the rest of the Spring 2016 semester. What is the Writing Center?

The Writing Center is a collaborative environment which offers writing consultations free of charge to anyone affiliated with the University of Hawai`i - undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and visiting scholars. 

Our writing consultants are trained to help at all stages of the writing process; whether you are just getting started, revising a draft, or at some point in between, we can help with your essays, research papers, resumes, letters, creative work, and more.

Please visit our Make/Cancel Appointments page and create an account to make appointments in advance.

Walk-in appointments are also welcome at The Writing Center, but we suggest that you schedule an appointment to ensure that a writing consultant will be available to work with you.
