Monitoring students

When students exit the ESL program, they are monitored for a period of 4 years. Classroom teachers monitor grades, standardized testing and MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) scores, and classroom performance on a quarterly or trimester basis. Usually former ESL students perform well in the classroom. Should they have difficulty with a class, a committee including the ESL teacher, parent, and classroom teachers meet to discuss options to support the student.

Monitored student reports are sent home each quarter or trimester.
