Apps and such

The Chromebook comes out-of-the-box with the full Google Apps suite, and self-updates as needed. Hanover High School will provide students with a collection of apps that we will be using for our classrooms. Students will not be allowed to install Apps that are not in the "approved" collection.

Although we will be adding to this list as more teachers explore the Chrome App Store, we are currently including the following in the HHS collection:

- Audio recording and Chrome: David Shade posted on the K12 Google Apps tech group: "Drive Voice Recorder" from Gammanet (free in Chromebook store) It is a simple recorder using the built-in mic and it allows you to "save" the file (MP3) to the internal Drive. Just open the apps window and choose the files icon then choose the downloads folder to see the recorded MP3 file. It can then be drag/dropped into regular drive folder and shared with teacher"
