Full-Time Benefits

A new hire will have their hours measured at their 90-day anniversary to determine if they have averaged 30 or more hours per week in that 90 days. It is then determined if they are, or are not, eligible for benefits. If they ARE eligible, they must either enroll or waive coverage, by completing the enrollment process on the ADP Portal at myadp.com. If they ARE NOT eligible, due to not averaging at least 30 hours per week during their 90-day waiting period, they will be measured again at their one-year anniversary. If they are averaging at least 30 hours per week at their one-year anniversary, then benefits will be offered at that time.

Note: An employee who is deemed part time at their 90- day measurement period will not be eligible after 90 days, and will not be measured month to month, even if they increase their hours for the rest of their first year. The only exception is a promotion.

VACATIONS

Vacations are great! We all need to get away from the job for a while--it's conducive to good health and well-being. Hacienda grants all Full-Time employees’ vacation with pay.

In order to be eligible for vacation pay, Full-Time employees must work 30 hours a week with a total of not less than 1560 hours during their anniversary year.

The length of vacation is to be determined in this manner:

After 1 full year – 1 week

After 5 full years - 2 weeks

After 10 full years - 3 weeks

There will be no prorating of vacation pay for an employee's final partial year of employment.

All vacation time must be used each year and cannot be accumulated. However, Hacienda does realize that there are times when an employee may not be able to take all eligible vacation days. Since vacation days are not accumulative, any employee eligible for at least two weeks of paid vacation, the other may take up to 50% of the available time in pay instead of time off, per year. 50% of available vacation time must still be taken as time off or lost.

Vacation periods are determined by the General Manager. Whenever practical, the employee's choice of time will be respected. Length of service will be given consideration in the event of conflict of date requests.
