HACIENDA HERITAGE

The year was 1978 and the place was Mishawaka, Indiana. Several fun loving young entrepreneurs decided to open a Mexican restaurant in a local, historical mansion that once was the home to the owners of the long-gone Kamm Brewery. They named it Hacienda after "Hacienda de los Morales", the famous restaurant in Mexico City.

From the very beginning, their basic premise was to give guests generous portions of quality food and drink at reasonable prices. Their value concept was further enhanced by the then novel idea of serving guests free chips and salsa. Signature items were Wet Burritos and excellent, world class frozen margaritas. The new restaurant was kept sparkling clean and service was "guest obsessed". It was then, and it is now.

Over the years, our menu has evolved with input from leading chefs trained in Mexico as well as our guests. We prepare fresh meats and vegetables seasoned with wonderful spices. Using fresh squeezed lime juice in our margaritas and our pico de gallo is an example of our not settling for anything less than the best. Hacienda's attention to these details guarantees that each dish you order is outstanding in flavor and value. The food here is truly: Real. Good. Mexican.

SALUD!
