2016 prompt: The American Dream is dead. Agree or disagree. Go.
Use the novel, and also incorporate the Wikipedia entry and accompanying graphic provided by your teacher. You will need two (2) additional sources for reference in your essay. You can find these on the radio, in encyclopedias (such as comparing data over time), in traditional books, and in varying sources on the Internet.
Use the Cicero Argumentation Format (a not-pretty but useful resource is here.) to structure your argument. Within each proof, you can cite multiple sources, but be sure to explain why each piece of evidence helps support your claim.
All sources should be cited in a properly formatted Works Cited page.
Essay should be typed in GDrive and saved into the folder your shared with your teacher for this class. The final product will be due to turnitin.com no later than 8 p.m. two days after the written copy is due. (S.O.P.).
A properly formatted paper is due on the way in the door on Monday, May 5, 2014. This rough draft will be peer edited in class on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. A revised draft is due Wednesday, May 7, 2014. The final draft will be due Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
