Grades
Grades are updated occasionally. Ask your student to see the work he has done, and compare to Daily Agenda.
Daily Writing (DW)
There are four parts:
Weekly digital sheet for the actual DW. You will get it from the folderon Monday and return in class Fridays after annotating and recording.
Tracking spreadsheet, available in same folder. This will be turned in on the last Friday of each grading period, and we will add to it all year
At the end of each grading period, you will complete the DW Reflection form, also available in the folder.
The reflection form is always due on Friday of the last week of the grading period. This allows students five (5) calendar days to complete it.
Texts/Syllabus
Grades are calculated in four categories that align to CCSS: Reading, Writing, Listening/Speaking, and Language (grammar, etc.). One assignment may earn scores in multiple categories. For example, an essay might earn score of writing, reading, and language, each of a different point value and weight.
