Essay specification for 2016

Timed writing is moved to Monday, 21 September 2015. Start to plan for essay (one body ¶ of three chunks). You should have notes in a GDoc, although the essay will be done via a GClassroom assignment. You will have approx 30 minutes to write, so preparation is critical, as you will have less that ten minutes per chunk!

1. Select from one of these topics:
   1. Explain the poem’s claim.
   2. What kind of character is the narrator?
   3. Is the Hangman honest or dishonest?
   4. Does the narrator (and town) deserve that fate?
