2026–2027 Concerts & Important Dates

FAC Concerts & Events
Unless otherwise indicated, all events take place at the Fine Arts Center at 7:00 PM.
Residency: Jasper String Quartet — March 1–5
★ March 4 – Jasper String Quartet Concert
★ October 22 – Fall Strings Chamber Music Concert
★ March 11 – Strings Honors Concert (PM, by audition only)
★ April 8 – Spring Strings Chamber Music Concert
Students are required to remain for the entire concert to receive attendance credit.
SCMEA Events
Required
★ October 3 – Region 2 Auditions
★ November 13–14 – Region 2 Orchestra, Easley High School, Easley, SC (Required only for students selected through auditions.)
★ December 5, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM – All-State Audition Workshop (All FAC Strings students are required to attend.)
Optional (Strongly Recommended)
January 9 – SC All-State Orchestra Auditions, Irmo High School, Irmo, SC
February 19–21 – SC All-State Orchestra, Lexington High School, Lexington, SC
Elevate (Afternoon Students Only)
A small complement of students from the afternoon classes may be selected to participate in Elevate. Selection is based on the needs of the overall program, which vary each year. Participation is not guaranteed, and all selection decisions are final.
April 9 – In-School Rehearsal
April 15 – Dress Rehearsal, Peace Center
April 16 – Dress Rehearsal & Performance
