🍎 A little about Mrs. Poole...I have been with AJ Whittenberg for the past 5 school years as a K5 Aide. I am excited to be working with Miss Patel for many reasons. I have 25 years of teaching experience with 20 of them working with Preschool children including ages between 8 weeks to age 5. I am looking forward to joining the K4 team and getting to know the children. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1988 with a Bachelors in Retail Management. I have an Associate Degree in General Commerce (Accounting) from USC, which I achieved in 1985. My beginnings as a graduate was in the Retail Industry in management, buyer, training, cosmetics, sales, and travel. When I became a mom, I decided to be a substitute teacher with a local church program. After a few months as a substitute, I was hired as a teacher. To keep my teaching credentials, I went back to school and earned my Associate Degree in Early Childhood from Greenville Tech. While working on my degree, I went to work in the Child Development Center on campus to do my student teaching at the same time being a teacher in one of their classrooms. After 20 years of teaching outside the school district, I decided it was time for the next step in my teaching career to join the school district. I am very happy to be a part of the team here at AJ Whittenberg.
🍎 As for my personal life...My husband, David, and I have been married for 28 years. We are a House Divided. He is a huge Clemson fan with family ties to the University. His grandfather was the President of Clemson University from 1940 to 1958. He was the first President with a degree from Clemson University. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a huge Gamecock fan. We have one son, Taylor, who is 25 years old. He is working on his degree in Meteorology. We have 3 indoor cats and 2 outdoor cats. After having dogs all our lives, one day a cat adopted us. We fed it and as the story goes..."once you feed a cat, it becomes yours."
