Miss Joyce (teacher) and Miss Abercrombie (HLTA) are both on maternity leave.

Mrs Canon is the Nursery secretary and Family Engagement Officer.

Termly Theme/Topic

Our topic for this year is "Once upon a time". We will be learning many traditional fairy tales and nursery rhymes.

For this half term we will be focussing on two fairy tales - 'Goldilocks and the 3 bears' and 'The enormous turnip'.

The children will make and taste porridge, write sorry letters from Goldilocks and act out the story in the forest area.

They will count objects from the story, begin to recognise numbers, sort bears and complete simple patterns.

They will also make a new chair for baby bear and complete an obstacle course to get Goldilocks back home!

Important class information:

Many of our activities will take place in our Forest School site. Therefore, please ensure that you provide a pair of wellies which can be kept in school.

Please be reminded when preparing your child’s packed lunch that we are a healthy school and ensure that you provide healthy choices. If you would like your child to have fruit, the cost of this is £1 per week and can be given to the class teacher.
