Nursery

There are lots of members of Nursery. The Nursery teachers are Mrs Edwards and Miss E Abraham. Mrs Jarman , Mrs Wood, Mrs Chard, Mrs Jenkins and Mrs Cooke are the LSAs.

Termly Theme/Topic

Our class topic for this term is “Sparkle and Shine”. We will be learning about the celebrations which take place during the autumn and winter seasons. Such as: Birthdays; Halloween; Bonfire night; Diwali; Christmas and Christingle.

For this half term we will be focusing on the books ‘Can't you Sleep, Little Bear?’ ‘Kippers Birthday’ and ‘We are Going on a Leaf Hunt’.

The children will have a ‘Sparkle and Shine’ day which will include sparkly clothes and face painting.

They will count objects from the story, begin to recognise numbers, sort bears and complete simple patterns.

We will also go for an autumn walk to Cyfarthfa Park where we will spot features of autumn.

Important class information:

Many of our activities will take place outdoors. Therefore, please ensure that you provide a pair of wellies which can be kept in school.
