Think You Know Books?
Fourth and fifth grade students can participate the Glenview Public Library's reading competition. Students form teams of four and then read 24 pre-selected titles (attached see list below) in order to participate in a meet to test their knowledge of the books. Registration is done online through the Glenview Public Library site.

Online registration is from Tuesday, October 1, 2019 through Friday, November 15, 2019. Each student on a team needs to fill out an online registration with parent permission.
Paper copies of our registration form are also available in Youth Services at the Glenview Public Library. Each student must register separately. Please include the names of all team members—as well as your team name—when you register. Ideally, each team should have 4 members, but teams of 3 are also acceptable.

Monday, December 2, 2019 from 7:00-8:00 PM

Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 7:00-8:00 PM
At this meeting, GPL will demonstrate what happens at the a BOB meet and give you an opportunity to ask questions. Attendance is recommended for first-time participants and their parents.
Meets will be scheduled by the GPL Mondays through Thursdays from 4 -5:30 pm, January 16 through March 6, 2020 . ONE meet date will be scheduled for each team. All meets will take place at the Glenview Public Library. GPL will mail your meet date to your home. If there is a conflict, please contact the GPL as soon as possible to adjust the date.

Here are the 5 simple steps to participate:
1. Find 3 other team members (a team is 4 people)
2. Decide with your team mates your team name
3. Register at home with a parent (parent permission required)
3 1/2.* Attend an optional orientation meeting at the GPL
4. Read the 28 titles as a group (7 titles each) or individually
5. Attend one scheduled meet (M-Th 4-5:30) at the Glenview Public Library
