GBS Woodworking Program Introduction Video
Glenbrook South is proud to offer a full curriculum of Woodworking classes including Woodworking 1, Woodworking 2, Woodworking 3, and Woodworking 4.
Woodworking 1 is an introductory course, 1 semester long, focused on safety, technique, and machine usage. Students take home 2 hand-crafted woodworking projects from this course (see the photo gallery for examples of Woods I projects!).
Woodworking 2 is a continuation of Woodworking 1, is 1 semester long, and teaches students more advanced woodworking skills on larger, more challenging furniture projects. Students take home 2 hand-crafted projects from this course (see the photo gallery for examples of Woods 2 projects!).
Woodworking 3, 4 (Advanced Woodworking) is a year-long capstone experience to the woodworking course sequence. In this course, students choose their own projects and work independently based on the knowledge and skills they have built in the Titan Woodshop. Students may complete several large projects throughout the course of the year (see the photo gallery for examples of Advanced Woodworking projects!).
