Please join us in welcoming Fran Amara, Director of Health & Physical Education.
Mr. Amara most recently served as a School Climate Specialist with EdAdvance, coaching school districts in school climate, restorative practices, and social-emotional learning. He has also served as a health and physical education teacher, a high school assistant principal, and a middle school principal.
Mr. Amara will build on the strengths of our health and physical education program while supporting student well-being and school climate.
The mission of the Glastonbury Public Schools Health and Physical Education Department is to inspire and prepare students to embrace physical activity, cultivate healthy habits, and contribute positively to their communities, both locally and globally.
Our school system uses Signs of Suicide (SOS) to teach suicide prevention to students. This portal is designed to provide parents with information about our suicide prevention efforts and helpful tools for supporting your child’s mental health.
