Chief Industries

Founded in 1954 as a small construction firm, the company soon became a dealer for farm buildings and grain bins. The following decade saw growth primarily in the manufacture of grain bins and steel buildings. Since then, a number of other companies have been added to the Chief ranks ranging from factory-built homes to ethanol fuels all under the guiding commitments to Customer Service, Manufacturing Excellence and Financial Strength & Stability.

Chief Industries, Inc., a Grand Island, Nebraska based multi-product manufacturer, produces and markets grain storage, handling and conditioning products; pre-engineered metal farm utility, grain storage, post frame and commercial building systems; custom steel fabrication; factory built housing; recreational vehicles; wastewater treatment systems; electronic display systems; security doors, windows and related furniture; Intermodal equipment, railroad box car doors and related equipment plus ethanol and high protein feed. The company also has a common carrier subsidiary, two construction divisions and three manufactured housing retail lots.

Manufacturing and distribution facilities are located in Grand Island, Aurora, Kearney, Hastings, York, Omaha, Ogallala, Nebraska; Rensselaer, Indiana; Fort Dodge, Iowa; Kansas City, Missouri; Janesville, Wisconsin; Russell, Kansas; Aurora, Colorado; Maldon, Essex, England and Rousies, France.
