Upcoming Events

• December 16, 2025 – Tuesday – HOLIDAY CONCERT, 7:00 p.m. in the GHMS JDS Gym – All 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Chorus students, and 7th/8th grade Band students - see details below

• All concerts and performances for the entire school year can be found on the Music Department Calendar page.  Please look over this list of dates, add them to your family calendar, and check with either director if you have any questions.

Announcements for the week of 12/15:

• Please see the Ensemble Expectations page for details about your child's participation in band and chorus.  

• French Horns, 6th grade percussion, and Jazz Band members need instruments and music at school on Monday.

• Jazz Band will rehearse on Monday and Thursday during lunch recess this week.

• ALL band students should have instruments and music at school on Tuesday. 

• Student help is needed after school until about 3:30 to set up for the Holiday Concert. If your child is able to stay after school until about 3:30, please email Mr. Loring and let him know (loringe@ghills69.com). 

• All 6th-8th grade band students will travel to the Motherhouse Thursday morning during school to perform for the residents there. We will perform around 8:50 and be done around 9:35. No specific uniform is required. Students are welcome to wear whatever is designated for dress up that day or just their normal school clothes.

• All 5th-8th grade chorus students and 6th-8th grade band students will perform at the All School Holiday Assembly on Friday at 9:00. No specific uniform is required. Students are welcome to wear whatever is designated for dress up that day or just their normal school clothes.

• ALL band students should take their instruments home on Friday, find two to three times to practice  at home over the weekend and Monday evening, and bring them back to school on Tuesday.
