April 11, 2026 - 8th grade band/chorus trip to Chicago to see Hamilton. Bus will leave from GHMS around 8:00 a.m. and get back around 8:00 p.m. See below for detailed information and the form that needs to be returned by Wednesday 3/25.
April 15, 2026 - Wednesday - 3rd Grade Performance, 5:00 p.m. in the JDS Gym - 3rd grade students
April 23, 2026 – Thursday – SPRING BAND CONCERT 7:00 p.m. in the GHMS JDS Gym – 5th Grade Instrumental Music Students and 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Band Students
May 1, 2026 - Friday – Spring Celebration of the Arts, 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Downtown Peoria – all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band and chorus students
May 4, 2026 – Monday – SPRING CHORAL CONCERT, 7:00 p.m. in the MTHS Auditorium – 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Chorus Students
May 6, 2026 - Wednesday - 4th Grade Showcase, 5:00 p.m. in the JDS Gym - 4th grade students
All concerts and performances for the entire school year can be found on the Music Department Calendar page. Please look over this list of dates, add them to your family calendar, and check with either director if you have any questions.

Please see the Ensemble Expectations page for details about your child's participation in band and chorus.
7th/8th grade French Horns, 6th grade Percussion, and all Jazz Band students should have instruments and music at school on Monday.
Jazz Band will rehearse on Monday and Thursday during recess this week.
All band students need instruments and music at school on Tuesday.
ALL band students should take their instruments home on Friday, find two to three times to practice at home over the weekend and Monday evening, and bring them back to school on Tuesday.
