A parent or guardian may give a student a written excuse for up to three days. Notes should include: student’s name, date(s) to be excused, reason for the excuse, parent/guardian signature, and phone number. IF A STUDENT NEEDS TO BE EXCUSED FOR MORE THAN THREE DAYS A DOCTORS NOTE IS REQUIRED. Students with special medical conditions should give their teacher a doctor’s note outlining any modifications that are needed in their daily physical activities. Students that bring a note for PE will still be required to dress out and their activities will be modified according to the note. Excessive use of parent notes will require make-up work for missed class assignments. Any forged note in PE will result in an F for the day and an hour detention after school.
