What do I do if I am injured or ill?
Have a parent fill out a PE Note indicating the activities you are to be excused from. A note from a parent can last up to 3 days. After 3 days we request a note from a doctor.
What do I do if I am absent?
If you are absent, points will be deducted from your daily participation grade. To make up the points you will need to read an essay and fill out the absent report form. Follow the link on the left to access absent reports. Also, check with a peer to see the activities or homework you may have missed. Missed miles will be made up at the end of the quarter.
If I bring a note am I still required to dress out?
If it is a note from a parent you will still dress out. Dr.s notes should be discussed with your teacher to determine the best way to participate.
When are make-up miles?
Make-up miles are during class at the end of each quarter. Students will have the opportunity to make-up missed miles and/or poor mile scores.
How do I earn an A in Physical Education?
Come prepared to learn and try your best.
Do we have homework in PE?
Yes. Once per quarter you will be assigned homework. The homework is located inside your PE notebook.
Why do we have homework in PE?
Our homework assignments in PE are to support the academic language development in physical education. The assignments focus on the skills we learn in core subjects such as math, history, science, reading and writing while connecting them to the Physical Education content standards.
