Writing and Publishing

This course is intended to guide students in producing a publishable essay in English based on their doctoral research. The essay’s topic should be closely connected to each student’s research area, whether this is approached from a methodological angle, through the subject matter, or both. The course goes beyond simply teaching publishing techniques such as referencing, quoting, and editing; it also focuses on helping students structure and communicate their ideas effectively in a format suitable for publication. Each student's individual research needs are taken into account, with the overarching aim of supporting their journey towards publication. It is assumed, however, that students are already proficient in practical skills such as data organisation, compiling reference lists, using quotation systems, assembling bibliographies, and creating glossaries.
