Conceptual Learning

The PYP encourages students to use the eight key concepts:

Form: What is it like?

Function: How does it work?

Change: How is it changing?

Causation: Why is it like this?

Connection: How is it connected to other things?

Perspective: What are the points-of-view?

Responsibility: What is our responsibility?

By focusing on these key concepts and other related concepts (such as citizenship, culture, adaptation) students develop higher order thinking skills and better questioning techniques.
