Lorena ANTON este CSIII (Cercetător științific III) - Marie Curie Fellow în antropologie socială la Universitatea din București (Facultatea de Litere), unde dezvoltă în prezent o cercetare de lungă durată despre sănătatea reproducerii în România post-comunistă, cu accent pe problema avortului. S-a specializat în antropologia sănătății reproductive după un doctorat în etnologie la Universitatea din Bordeaux și Universitatea din București (cotutelă, 2005-2010) cu o teză despre Memoria avortului în România comunistă, și o cercetare post-doctorală asupra migrației și sănătății reproductive în cadrul unui proiect colectiv desfășurat în perioada 2010-2013 la centrul de cercetare francez ADES, CNRS & Universitatea din Bordeaux.
Domeniile sale de interes științific și cercetare predilectă sunt: antropologia sănătății reproductive, antropologia memoriei, studii despre migrație, mișcări de protest și drepturile reproductive, istoria etnologiei/antropologiei în Europa.

ABOUT THE RESEARCHER
Lorena ANTON is CSIII (cercetător științific III)-Marie Curie Fellow in social anthropology at University of Bucharest (Faculty of Letters), where she is presently working on a long-term research on reproductive health in post-communist Romania (with focus on the abortion issue). She specialized in anthropology of reproductive health after a PhD in ethnology at University of Bordeaux & University of Bucharest (cotutelle, 2005-2010), with a thesis on The Memory of Abortion in Communist Romania, and a postdoctoral research on migration and reproductive health, part of a collective research project developped between 2010 and 2013 at the French research center ADES, CNRS & University of Bordeaux.
Her current research interests are: anthropology of reproductive health, anthropology of memory, migration studies, protest movements and reproductive rights, history of ethnology/anthropology in Europe.
