The purpose to the survey within this presentation is to better understand where Phil's life experiences come to fruition within his creative work; where the metaphors lie and what the representations say about his opinions on his experiences. Specifically we are going to take a look at his treatment experience at X-Kalay in Canada, after his failed suicide attempt post convention speech, and utilize the knowledge of Synanon in its origination to better understand the theory behind this treatment. Since we have little from Phil himself on this experience we are left to look at his depictions of the treatment within his stories.
