Textbook: Computer Security Principles and Practice by Stallings and Brown, Fourth Edition, ISBN = 978-0-13-479410-9. Search online for a free copy of the book.
Tests: There will be 3 tests during the semester. The tests are 5 weeks apart. The third test is the final.
Programming. There is no programming.
Calendar
Finals week. If you are enrolled in 253-13, then your final is Dec 14, starting at 11:00 am.
If you are enrolled in 253-7, then your final is Dec 16, starting at 11:00 am.
Nov 2: Second Midterm on Chapters 9, 16, 10, and others to be posted here.
Keep your reference sheet of the first midterm for reuse in this second midterm.
Sep 28: First midterm test; on paper; you must be in the classroom. The test covers Chapters 1, 2, 6, 17.
Chapters 9 and 16 will appear in Midterm Test #2
Sep 23: Review day; reason we learn Cybersecurity? Prepare reference sheet
