Academic advising. I am a designated academic advisor in the CS Department. I conduct open advising session for students on these three days of each week: Mon, Tue, and Wed. Advising starts at 7:30pm. It is called "Express Advising". No appointment is needed. Students are served in the order of arrival. Be sure to arrive near 7:30pm on the designated days. If 15 minutes pass without any student present in the session then zoom session will be closed.
FAQ: Why do we have this independent website? Answer: During many semesters of teaching I have been able to obtain many helpful resources by visiting the websites of professors around the world. I want to do my small part to pay back to the computer community for the assistance I have received in the past. I do not know if my posted material has helped someone in the computer science world community. Nevertheless, this website is my small attempt to return the favor I received from many other educational websites.
FAQ: Why do you call this website "Open Source"? A piece of software is labeled "open source" if the user of that software has easy access to the source code of the software. The defining property of open source software is that right to have the source code if the end user wants it. The opposite of "open source" is "proprietary". In classes that use software we will learn toward the open source solution whenever possible. Open source software benefits the economy where you live and it promotes a more kinder and peaceful world.
