To celebrate and learn about Freedom Week, Mrs. Sonkin and I, along with the 5th grade social studies teachers, came up with an "app smashing" way for the students to learn more about the 1st Amendment.
First, students took notes on the five freedoms granted in the first amendment - freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition. Then, each student created a sketch in Doodle Buddy demonstrating his or her understanding of one of the rights. As a group, they created a Pic Collage with all of the rights included in the 1st Amendment!
Great job, 5th graders!!
We had an "app smashing" good time!
