1. Number Hunt
Hide number cards (1–10) around the room.
Have children find them in order or match them to sets of objects (e.g., 5 blocks).
2. Counting Hopscotch
Draw a hopscotch grid with numbers 1–10.
As kids hop, they say each number out loud.
You can mix it up by having them clap or stomp the number instead of saying it.
3. Build and Count
Use blocks, Legos, or pom-poms.
Kids build towers that match the number on a card (e.g., tower of 7 blocks for “7”).
4. Number Stories
Read short counting books (like Ten Black Dots or Five Little Monkeys).
After reading, have children retell the story using number cards or manipulatives.
5. Number Tracing Stations
Use sand trays, shaving cream, or finger paint for sensory number tracing.
Reinforces numeral formation and visual recognition.
