Group 1:  Sa, Aa, Tt, Ii, Pp, Nn                            Group 3:  Gg, Oo, Uu, Ll, Ff, Bb

Group 2:  Cc, Kk, Hh, Rr, Mm, Dd                   Group 4:  Jj, Zz, Ww, Vv, Yy, Xx, Qq, 

 If your child is struggling with letter recognition and sound production; start with the first six letters covered (Group 1).  Using flashcards, post-it notes, etc.  place them in a central area, fridge, mantel, door etc. Review these letters several times a day, keeping them in the same order.  Once your child is familiar with these six, change the order but continue with these six letters in the same manner.  Once they have mastered the new arrangement, change the order once again.  Once mastered, begin with the next group of letters in the same manner, continue until all 26 letters and sounds are covered.
