This is a list of sketchbook assignment descriptions for the year. Due dates will be posted on Google Classroom, but if you are bored you can work ahead on these!
Sketchbook assignments make up 20% of your grade!
SB1: Your backpack or purse/handbag.
Looking at your bag, include details and folds of the fabric, straps, etc.
SB2: 3 things that come from eggs.
Be creative: Try to make elements work together in one picture!
Must have details and shading
SB3: Visual pun.
-Realistic objects/things/animals paired to make a pun
-For example, a "catfish" is drawn as a half cat half fish or a "mailman" is drawn as a man made of envelopes and stamps, etc.
-Must have shading and details
-Color is optional, but not required
-Have fun with it!
SB4: Something Melting
-Focus on realism of melting object of your choice
-Must have details (value changes and light reflections) and depict the process of melting
-Action of melting could be something that actually occurs in real life OR something imaginative (still must have details and realistic shading)
SB5: Design a tattoo that incorporates a drawing!
-Must be appropriate and incorporate a detailed drawing
-Words or simple symbols will not be accepted unless accompanied with detailed image/design
SB6: Your favorite animal in action.
Realistic details, shading, and texture are required. Focus on a sense of movement!
SB7: Draw your dream house or dream car.
Include shading and details.
SB8: Mythological Creature.
Realistic details, shading, and texture are required.
