Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Currently working on selecting materials for second full scale test
Seat connections being machined by Scripps machine shop
Spreader bar to be made in house by the team
Full scale test questions:
Can a weighted spreader bar disrupt the swing enough to limit height while still keeping swinging intuitive for user? (fabric replacement?)
Is a straight rod connection enough for a seat connection? Will it be balanced enough for user? Will a "Y" design be better?
Is a spreader bar needed for shorter swings to prevent twisting?
