Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Risk reduction tests are still being conducted for temperature uniformity
Iterating through different incubator configurations through testing
Flow analysis may be conducted if/when suitable testbed configurations are found
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Testing the effect of different parameters in configuration testing
Increased the amount of tests able to be conducted within the same period of time
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Conclude risk reduction/configuration tests
Begin enclosure fabrication
Begin designs for final product
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Try introducing heated air into the enclosure from both sides of the chamber
It is a testing scenario under consideration
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Plot the temperature distribution graph from the data collected from the last experiment.
Test different solutions with changing parameters
Currently running a series of configuration tests to evaluate the effects of different parameters
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
None
Risks and Areas of Concern
Current risk reduction/proof of concept setup has extensive wiring
May be a complication when it comes to organization for final product design
Slow progress and/or little change in results from configuration testing
A lot of possible configurations have not been tested yet
Tests that have been run generally result in mostly similar results as the previous week's testing
Setting up the pump isn't a quick process for risk reduction testing
need to make sure everything is airtight from pump to heater to chamber
Heat lost from the tube may cause the failure of the project
A fully enclosed part might be constructed to the heater to prevent heat loss from the connection parts
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Appropriate connector for the connection between the fun heater to the tube
A tube coating/isolation for the tubes which would stop the heat loss to the environment
Schedule
Continue configuration tests to check for temperature uniformity
Employ simulations and models where necessary
Decide on next course of action should testing fail
Validate proof of concept
