Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Individual parts analysis in progress
Parts are in consideration; phone-calls required for specs
Peter: Cover for containing heat
Gloria: Frame for holding samples
David: Temperature Sensors
Vincent: Heating Elements
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Identifying problems from risk reduction
Conduction is not a viable mode of heat transfer for the project
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Identify potential individual parts that may work for the project
If part(s) do not meet requirements, begin custom design
Begin potential designs for product
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
In light of the results of the risk reduction test, it may be better to reduce the requirement of interchangeable sample sizes to fit just an 8 well glass bottom chamber slide
Design requirements may be reduced to reflect this
Begin design of the frame for holding samples
Will begin after individual parts analysis
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Determine whether the current design has a control for humidity
Current design does not have humidity control, it is a secondary/tertiary requirement/concern due to complications with fogging
What volume/space size is under analysis?
Outer size of well-plate being considered: 25.5 x 75.5 mm
Combined sample size: 2400 µl (300 µl per well)
Container to fit the microscope is roughly 2 x 9 x 13 cm
Comments from Other Students in the Class (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Use more detailed graphics that better explain technical details
Use short, concise text and explanations; legible and easy to read
Use appropriate format for Gantt chart
Consider implications of hot air on other components
Focus on clarity of explanations and maintain eye contact
Pacing was too quick in some areas
Risks and Areas of Concern
Parts from individual analysis may not work well together
Design process is fragmented
Implementing controls starting with temperature, then CO2 and humidity may not work well together
Temperature and humidity are somewhat coupled with each other
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Specifications/exact details of parts for analysis
Schedule
Design concepts to be made after individual parts analysis
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
N/A, may need to discuss with sponsor
Progress on Report and Webpage
Webpage will be updated once individual part analysis is completed
