Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Risk Reduction has been completed

  • Moving forward with the Single Sheet method

  • (Initial) Individual Component Analysis is now being tackled

Accomplishments from Previous Week

• • No hard calculations were accomplished over Spring Break, as all of the group members needed a break from the rigors of Finals. That being said, some concept generation and design choices were perused and considered over the break.

• • Individual Component Analysis (tasks have been redistributed since Risk Reduction Presentation)

    • Impulse Heater Sealing- Jerry Ng

    • Hydraulic Plastic-Folding Arm- Griffin Brunner

    • Plastic Feeding Apparatus- Dai Huynh

    • Loadable Magazine of Inserts and Product- Ali Ismail

    • *EXTRA* Controller- Jerry Ng (if he happens to have extra time)

  • Group Brainstorm the following steps:

    • How to get the product from the magazine into the appropriate place on the plastic sheet

    • How to cut the plastic reliably

    • How to prevent the Impulse Heaters from gumming up

  • Update Website's internal pages- Griffin Brunner

• • Where can we find an LDPE roll of the Appropriate size for our design?

    • Response: Can get roll resized readily in the area by a local plastic converter, should consult and see if fees are too high

  • Are we undertaking too much for our individual component analysis? Too little?

    • Response: Only have 2 pages, so be smart and cover as in depth as we can with the little space that we have
