Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Fabrication: currently fabricating parts - expected completion is set for 3 March 2016
Calibration:
1. Need to test GP-Lite and GP-Profiling probes from 0% to 30% by volume and record data for fitting.
2. Speak with Steve Roberts regarding communication to the SDI-12 device to input coefficients from the fit.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Went to AgriService and gathered more samples.
Performed statistical analysis:
95% Confidence Interval is mean +/- 2%, indicating that the probe is precise
For a 99% confidence, require only 11 readings for a 5% margin of error.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
(Evan & Armando) Complete the fabrication and assembly of the design.
(Paulie & Tim) Perform calibration and collect data. Input coefficients into the SDI-12 module.
(Paulie) Draft a calibration manual as a secondary deliverable.
(Paulie) Submit all student reimbursements and update the Budget Form.
(Team) revisit AgriServices to test assembly and the calibrated accuracy.

After calibrating, revisit AgriService and perform the same procedure from several weeks ago (sample size = 25).
Had a conference call with engineer from ESI - density plays the largest role in measurements. Radius of influence is much larger than stated, though 1.5cm radius has the most influence.
