Posture Sensing Device: MAE 156B Week 5
Team Members: Wesley Chipeco, Martin Vega, Kevin Sperzel, Jesus Martinez
Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Phone app:
•We have edited code so that we can store data output to Amazon's online database.
•We can connect two Sensortags at the same time and have data output for both
•Conducted tests with sensor placement on back
•With low-pass filter applied we get noise of approximately .5 degrees when sensor is stationary, when placed on back it is approximately 2 degrees (noise due to breathing)
•Whenever user deviates more than 5 degrees from calibrated position a timer sets off to indicate how long bad posture is maintained
•If bad posture is maintained for longer than 10 seconds a vibration will be set off on user’s phone
PCB design&shirt:
•We 3D printed other housing designs
•We tailored shirt to have pockets to hold sensortag
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Tailored shirt, set up online database storage for data output, 3D printed new housing designs
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Kevin: Housing/shirt design
Martin: PCB modification to Sensortag
Wesley: Add more functionality to phone app
Jesus: Add more functionality to phone app
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (Person, March, 27th 2016)
Sponsor liked self-calibration method and we will continue to design a shirt that holds two sensors intact.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (Week 6 2016 )
Professor Hoople suggested testing and data storage, as a result we have online data storage available now that we will implement to testing soon.
Risks and Areas of Concern
