Posture Sensing Device: MAE 156B Week 5
Team Members: Wesley Chipeco, Martin Vega, Kevin Sperzel, Jesus Martinez
Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Phone app:
•We can connect two sensortags at the same time and have data output for both.
• Added filter for our data output (tilt angle).
•Added calibrate button that user presses when they have good posture.
•Whenever user deviates more than 5 degrees from calibrated position a timer sets off to indicate how long bad posture is maintained.
•If bad posture is maintained for longer than 10 seconds a vibration will be set off on user’s phone.
PCB design:
•Frank is busy for the next 3 weeks.
•We 3D printed a couple of housing prototype for Sensortag.
•Modifying Sensortag PCB ourselves for the meantime.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
We connected two sensortags at the same time and have data output for both.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Kevin: PCB modification to Sensortag
Martin: PCB modification to Sensortag
Wesley: Add more functionality to phone app
Jesus: Add more functionality to phone app
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (Person, March, 20th 2016)
Sponsor provided information related to back posture. We decided that there is conflicting information on what defines good posture. As a result we have set the calibrate button so that the user determines what good posture is.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (Week 4 2016 )
Professor Gillett suggested running tests with the sensortag. As a result we have performed initial testing with the sensortag attached with duct tape.
Risks and Areas of Concern
Reaching our Week 5/6 deadline for PCB completion.
Describe upcoming milestone
Designing shirt with sensortag attached.
