Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • The main tunnel components (entry panel, fan mount, tunnel frame) have been built

  • The 80/20 tunnel exterior apparatus is nearly completed pending mounts for the projectors

    • The projector mount pieces that our sponsor ordered do not fit the 80/20 we purchased, we will do an express order today

  • 80/20 frame is nearly finished, awaiting final parts for projector mounting

• • Do the flies need to be unconscious to take them out if they are already separated

    • If we do end up using the doors, we may opt out of the CO₂ method depending on how difficult it is to fill the space with CO₂ and how our sponsor feels about the system.

  • Animations were good and helpful, but more detail for CAD drawings would be nice

    • We plan to add much more detail to our drawings

  • If the size of the tunnel is a concern why is it so large?

    • Our sponsor would like a larger space to use the tunnel for different experiments in the future (free flight in a large space)
