Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Completed about 90% of testing: noise read by hydrophone for all motors, time for full piston extension, comparison of lead screw & ball screw, and sandwich mounts
Deciding between large geared & flat geared motor for final design
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Machined motor plate and mounting plates
Machined hydrophone plate
Completed machining ball screw
Machined new Aluminum cylindrical guides
Lasercammed "controller board" for volume spacing and hydrophone mounting plate
Completed noise testing for metal-to-metal mounting for original Pololu motors, all 3 prototype motors
Completed timing on how long it takes piston to fully extend under load for original lead screw & prototype ball screw for all motors
Started noise testing for sandwich mounting
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
