156B Week 8

Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • The sealant was applied onto the prototype. Newly modified parts of the prototype are designed and will be cut out.

  • Will start testing by as early as possible.

  • Testing on sealant has been done and successful.

• • Lasercammed new modified parts

    • From last week's assembly, we discovered some modifications is needed 

  • Applied sealant to prototype

    • Sealant was applied to areas where they are difficult to access by using syringe.

• • Will be meeting this week to test out product with sponsor to receive feedback on improvements

    • The sealant is taking longer than expected to dry, which delays the assembly.

    • Some modifications were made to the prototype and will be lasercammed this week.

• • Commercializing/Patent issue

    • Our sponsor has thought for possible future commercial use with our project. This brings up the patent issue.

  • Drainage design

    • Have the drain on the side of the reservoir rather than at the bottom.

    • This will eliminate problem of uneven bottom surface.
